How many trades a day do they let you take?
It is the rule that disqualifies an automated system most often, and the worst defined in the whole census. Most firms ban trading “too fast” without saying from what point.
- 10publish a number
- 12no number
- 80not verified
Of the 22 firms that publish something about frequency, only 10 publish a figure you can check in advance. The rest ban conduct, HFT, microscalping, gambling, without saying where the line is.
Trades per day3
The only hard cap that is easy to check. 3 firms publish the same number, and all of them are futures firms.

Server requests3
The limit that decides whether an EA can live there. It counts orders opened, modified and cancelled. Units are not converted: a per-minute cap blocks any burst, a daily one does not. Trade The Pool is the strictest in the census.
| Firm | Cap | Source and date |

Microscalping4
Not a minimum hold time per trade but a minimum split of profit by duration. All three publish it almost identically under different names. At Tradeify it does not breach the account, it blocks the payout.

HFT5
4 ban it and 1 allow it “with limits”. What almost none publishes is the threshold: FundedNext Futures spells it out, they watch patterns and decide case by case, which is another way of saying you will not know in advance.

Gambling8
8 firms name it and publish it as a rule of its own. It belongs here because nearly every behaviour they list is about frequency or size. All-in, overleveraging, day padding, account churning.
- Alpha Futures
- "All or Nothing" approach. As stated above, we are looking for strategies we can create long term partnerships with to transfer to live funds.
- Gambling tendencies or "Account Rolling", taking max leverage positions with no plan, no stop loss, and hitting max loss on the account then buying more accounts and repeating the process until a trade hits.
- Atlas Funded
- All-or-nothing trading strategies risking nearly entire loss limits are prohibited
- Blue Guardian Futures
- excessive size, inconsistent contracts or 'all-in' strategies can be treated as gambling and open an account review. They advise against martingale and loss-recovery strategies
- FundedNext
- Gambling Behavior: overleveraging, over-risking, a style that cannot be repeated, high-risk trades with no stop loss
- One-Sided Betting: concentrated directional exposure where the outcome depends on single trades instead of a repeatable strategy. It can bring the 1% risk rule or expulsion
- All in One trading
- Quick Strike Method: positions closed in less than 30 seconds; a violation if they account for 30% or more of total profit. A warning at 20%
- Hola Prime (futuros)
- copy trading across accounts, group hedging
- Instant Funding
- one-directional bets without analysis
- grid trading
- high-frequency trading: 60 seconds or less
- overleveraging above the lot size allowed
- day padding: opening insignificant or artificial trades just to meet minimum days
- account churning: repeatedly opening several accounts over short periods and trading at high risk
- Maven Trading
- All in: a single trade with no stop loss or risking beyond the drawdown limit
- Excessive Scalping: holding 50% or more of your trades for less than a minute
- Reverse and group hedging, including betting one way in a single trade against another account
- Tradeify 24740% off
- repetitive all-in leverage, extreme concentration, or exploitative scaling
Frequently asked questions
How many prop firms cap the number of trades?
Of the 102 firms in the census, 22 publish something about trading frequency, and of those only 10 publish a figure. A daily trade cap, a server request cap or a minimum split of profit by duration. The other 12 ban the conduct without defining it.
At how many trades do I count as HFT for a prop firm?
It depends on the firm, and almost none publishes it. The ones that put a number on it: Savius (200 trades), TradeDay (200 trades), and YRM Prop (200 trades). Savius also defines HFT by outcome: under two ticks of profit per winning position, or under one second held. Three such trades in a day count as systematic.
What is a server request cap?
The number of orders your platform may send the broker: opened, modified or cancelled. It mostly affects EAs that trail the stop on every candle. What each one publishes: FTMO (2,000 per day), Orion Funded (2,000 per day), and Trade The Pool (2 per minute).
Where does this data come from?
From each firm’s own website, never from another comparison site. The census cites 1,196 pages across 156 official domains, and of the readings behind this page the oldest is from 3 months ago. When two pages from the same firm contradict each other, both are published with their quote.
