Points are not money
They have no cash value, they cannot be exchanged for cash, they cannot be sold and they cannot be transferred to another person or another account. They are a discount mechanism operated by this site and nothing more. They are not a security, not a token and not a deposit, and they are not protected by any deposit or investor scheme.
How they are earned
A qualifying purchase made through this site with our code earns points. How many depends on the firm, capped at one point per dollar paid, and some purchases earn none. The points stay pending until the firm confirms the sale, and are credited then. A purchase that never completes, is refunded, or is charged back earns nothing, and points already credited for it are removed. If the rule changes, the change applies to purchases made after it, never backwards.
You have a month to claim
A claim needs the receipt of the purchase, and it has to be filed within thirty days of the purchase date. Miss the window and the points are not awarded.
Each point lasts twelve months
Every point expires twelve months after the day it was earned. Points earned on 12 October expire on 12 October of the following year. When you redeem, the oldest points are spent first. You are emailed twice before any of your points expire, sixty days out and fifteen days out, to the address on the account.
What they are worth, and when you can use them
The redemption threshold and what it buys are published as figures on the points page, alongside the effective discount they represent. Redemption is subject to what is available at the time. Where a reward is an account paid for at a firm, the firm terms apply to that account exactly as if you had bought it yourself.
Three purchases come first
Points can be redeemed once the account has at least three completed purchases made through this site with our code. Refunded and charged back purchases do not count. Points earned without buying, such as those for signing up, using the extension or following us, are added to the balance straight away and can be redeemed under the same condition.
Identity check before a redemption
Before a redemption is fulfilled we verify the identity of the account holder. It is a fraud control: one person, one account, and the reward goes to the person who earned it. A redemption is not fulfilled while the check is pending, and it is refused if the check fails or the documents belong to somebody else.
Countries where redemption is not available
You can sign up and earn points from any country. Redemption is not available to residents of Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, or the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. A redemption requested from one of them is not fulfilled. If the list changes, it changes under the notice rule below.
Which account you receive
A reward account is a size, not a firm. When you redeem, we show you the firms and models on offer for that size at that moment, and you choose among them or keep your points. The list changes with prices and is not published in advance.
Purchases after you sign up with a firm through us
When you open your account at a firm through our link, that firm may credit your later purchases to us for as long as its affiliate programme provides. That depends on each firm and not on us. It never changes the price you pay.
How these terms can change
They can be changed with thirty days of notice, given by email to accounts with a balance and posted on this page with a new review date. Points already earned keep the terms they were earned under.
If the programme closes
You get ninety days from the announcement to redeem what you hold, under the rules in force on the day it was announced. Nothing is written off on the day of the announcement, and the threshold is not raised on the way out.
What ends an account
Filing a receipt that is forged, altered, or belongs to somebody else, filing the same receipt twice, or running several accounts to claim the same purchase more than once. Any of those voids the balance and closes the account.
These pages are not legal advice, and they do not replace the terms of the firm you buy from. Where the two disagree, the firm terms govern the account you bought and these pages govern only your use of this site.
