On-chain payouts

Paid to traders, measured on-chain

This firm does not appear in the on-chain payout aggregator.

Only 39 of the 102 firms in the census appear in the on-chain aggregator. A firm that pays by bank transfer does not show up here, and that does not mean it does not pay. It means this figure cannot be checked on a blockchain.

Where Topstep contradicts itself

Two pages of this firm say different things about the same rule. We do not pick one: both readings are below, as the census recorded them. 46 of the 102 firms have at least one.

  • rules_firmwide.eas

The third firm in the census that opens the door to EAs and closes it through the window: they give you an API to automate and forbid you the VPS, the VPN and any remote server. The bot has to run on your home computer, switched on. Before: GOAT Funded Futures and TradersYard, but Topstep is the biggest in the futures sector, so the pattern is not a small-firm thing

Questions about Topstep

Is Topstep worth checking, and where do these numbers come from?

We do not rate firms. What we can tell you is what it publishes and where we read it: 2 account models on this page, 11 official pages of theirs cited, and 40 dated readings behind the figures. Anything they do not publish is shown as a gap, not filled in.

How long has Topstep been operating?

10 years, by their own account. Only 35 of the 102 firms in the census publish it. It is not a guarantee of anything, but a firm that has been paying for years is a different bet from one that opened last quarter.

What profit split does Topstep pay?

Up to 90% on their best model, not on all of them, so check the model you are buying in the table above. A split only pays out if you also clear their payout conditions.

What does Topstep forbid outright?

23 practices that they name themselves. They are listed on this page with their own wording, because the wording is the rule: “high-frequency” and “latency arbitrage” are not the same thing.
